LAGOS TO SET WORLD RECORD

Suya has been seen as a very common household name across the street over several years. Either from the mallam next door or down the street! We have enjoyed long sticks of suya steak every now and then, but have you seen or tasted  a longer stick of meat steaks?
The Lagos City Suya Carnival is an experience too good to miss. The idea was borne out of the need to celebrate Africa, Nigeria and most especially Lagos in a grand style.

Lagos state is hosting the biggest and largest suya festival not just in Nigeria,  not in Africa alone but worldwide. This is a feat that is going to gain international recognition and even place Lagos on the the prestigious Guinness book of record as the state with the largest steak festival!
Why Lagos? The organizers of the festival have apparently chosen Lagos so as to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Lagos state, how remarkable it is!

What makes the festival unique and record breaking? Well, like I earlier said, you must have eaten a long stick of steak but have you ever seen a 50ft long suya steak? Yes!  50ft!

Another unique feat for this carnival is the duration of the carnival, it is going to last for about 12hours, yes you saw that, 12hours of fun eating chops all through. Starting from 10:30am to 11:00pm on October 1st 2017. Tell me why it is not going to be loud!

Now you know why the festival is a ground breaking carnival! Now you know that suya steak can be made in daylight and not at night alone, only in this Record breaking festival!

What do you think about this suya carnival? You can comment below.

UPDATE ON ASUU STRIKE

The striking university lecturers, ASUU, have agreed to consider the federal government’s offer and suspend their strike.
The agreement comes after 12 hours, 30 minutes of a closed door meeting between ASUU and a government delegation in Abuja.
The leadership of ASUU, however, said though it accepted the proposal presented by the government, it will take the proposal to its members and get back to the government in a week.
Biodun Ogunyemi, the national president of ASUU, told journalists after the meeting that the union will come back after one week to take its final decisions.
“Now we have some concrete proposal that we will take back to our members for consideration,” he said.
On his part, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, said ASUU’s demands have been addressed and the union will get back to the government in a week after consulting with its principals.
The meeting started 1:38pm on Thursday and ended 2:15 a.m. on Friday.
