The Minister of Transportation in the country, Rotimi Ameachi has through his spokesperson, David Iyofor, reacted to the reports connecting him to the sum of $50 million uncovered by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in an Ikoyi apartment.
Recall that the Transport Minister had been alleged to have been the owner of the sum which was discovered by the anti-graft agency.
A former Aviation Minister in the country, Femi Fani Kayode had also alleged that the Transport minister owned as much as $43 million of the recovered sum.
In reaction to the reports, the transport minister’s spokesperson took to his social media page on Twitter to deny his boss’ connection with the recovered money.
David’s tweet came in reply to tweets made by the spokesperson to the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, Lere Olayinka
Lere Olayinka had in his tweets alleged that Amaechi was trying to cover up his connections with the recovered loot.
